Water Rising and Rest

This blog is a combination of two prophetic words given at different times. We believe they accurately describe the times we are in.  Our desire is to be wise to the days we live in so we can adjust our focus to what God is doing.  Even though this word has a regional focus we believe it's message is for the global church.

From October 31, 2013 - - Water Rising and Rest
I see a leader walking on stilts.  He lives on stilts and can do everything on them. (Then) I see a broader scope view of the Denver area and I see others moving on stilts.  I sense that they are visionaries seeing life from a visionary perspective and moving from that perspective.  I see all other people walking with their feet on the ground.  They are all moving about seeing each other and life from the ground level.  Those on stilts are moving amongst those on the ground.  The stilts are unusually long so these people are around 10-15 feet high.

I see a leader cruising along on his stilts and Jesus' hands reach out to take hold of them.  The leader is attempting to move at his normal pace and he is unable to do so due to Jesus' hands holding them still. I see the leader look down to see what is keeping him from normal mobility and when he does, he sees Jesus there.

They lock eyes and I hear Jesus speak to the leader, "The surface is about to change beneath you.  These will no longer work for your mobility."

As he speaks this to the man on stilts, I see water begin to surface through the pavement and all of the ground in our area.  It is rising rapidly and I sense that the leader is glad that he is high up on the stilts. Jesus firmly shakes the stilts so that the man falls off of them.  When he falls, Jesus catches him even though the water is still rising all around them.  As Jesus holds the leader across His arms, He places him upon the rising water which is now waist level and has him lie down upon it.  I see Jesus breathe a breath of life into him and release him. I see the leader floating on his back as the water level continues to rise.  He is resting and trusting and leaving all in the care of Jesus.  His eyes are closed and peace and rest are on his face.

I hear Jesus speaking out to all people in our area but especially to those who are using stilts as their mobility tools before this occurred.

I hear the words, "The water level is rising and those who leave what is familiar behind them to rest in me will rise with it.  The level of this ordained water will supersede any water that has been before.  No man can navigate this kingdom water except by resting in me.  Those who rest...trusting me to move them where they are to be... will allow others to enter into my rest."

I see many people on the ground begin panicking as the water level rises. Some are finding safe modes of transportation like boats, floatation devices and even flippers and goggles to try to swim.  Some are climbing tall buildings.  There are some who are looking around and noticing the ones who are resting upon the surface.  They immediately turn over and relax too and God gives them grace to rest and be moved in the kingdom current that is His for them.

"I am about to change the surface of this specific area and of this nation.  Those who hear my voice and follow my lead will find a new way of moving in the place of rest.  What has worked in the past will no longer work in this season. Man's volition will no longer take him where only my presence and
power can move him.  I will provide what is needed and what is needed is rest. Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  I am changing the surface of life so that what is old and no longer useful will be released and what is new can come.  Do not fear my shaking.  Look for me in
it and I will speak to you about what I am about to do.  Obedience will bring a smooth transition from one thing to the other. Fear not for the water level is about to rise and I am getting you ready to be moved by me which requires you to rest from familiar motion that has worked in the past."

I see many people on their backs now resting in God.  I see this now from an ariel view and I see sprockets forming as kingdom currents position people into cogs.  I see small and large groupings of individual cogs or sprockets.  I then see these individual groupings of people being moved by God's water currents to touch each other and the teeth of one sprocket fit perfectly into the teeth of a different one. Still from an ariel view, I see many sprockets joined together all floating and resting on the kingdom current of heaven.  It almost looks like the workings of an intricate watch.  When the teeth fit together, a very large movement forms from all of the coordinated smaller pieces moving with one another and this larger movement begins to release a function that has not been known or experienced in our time.  (It is kind of like how all of the small inner workings of a watch make the hands move on the face).

I sense that when this occurs a quickening spirit will be released to get things done that could not be done without this structure being built by the Lord.  I feel like a window of time is almost upon us and that God will accomplish so much in this small time frame that will affect people for many generations to come.  It feels like what is coming will come quickly and not last long but will have long lasting effect.  It will feel very intense as it is occurring but pass as quickly as it came.

I hear these words, "The seen need is not the real need.  I am about to align things in this area with the structure and design of my kingdom in the spirit.  I have a blueprint of Denver and I am going to shift her into this design.  This will create the movement that I have promised will come.  Rest. Receive.  Respond.  Release. Revival."

The stilts represent the prophetic.

From July 12, 2010  - - The Battlefield / Tent Window

... I see myself peeling back a piece of air (like the front door of a tent) for people to come inside out of the rain.  I see a battle field and people weary and seeking shelter.  I am standing on this field as a messenger and a guide to assist people who have been in the midst of battle.  I am here to offer a place of covering and refreshing for them. As I peel back the air, I see people crossing through the opening from there into this grace field and they are totally lost as they move from one reality to another so quickly.  As they step out of the battle and into this garden, they are disoriented and in wonder at the same time.

I can hear their thoughts, “Where are we?  What is this place?  How did I get here? What does this mean?”

I see some of them get lost inside of this place because they have been looking for it all of their lives.  Others are trying to figure it out and their minds are busy calculating how they got here and where "here" is.  Some just lie down and take a nap and rest.  They recognize it as an oasis and feel the peace and rest here.  They have been crying out for this kind of goodness and here they are in it.

None of them see me as I observe them.  I am inside of this place too and the door has been shut again.  All that can be felt or heard is in this field.  Everything else is shut out right now.  I realize now that these have been abiding in Him and seeking the rest of God.  As they have taken their seated place in Him, they awakened to this place and are here as a result of abiding.  They shifted from one reality to another through their seated position.

As one woman is sleeping here, she is being carried along by the flowers through the field.  It is as if each flower has a deposit of grace that is specific and when each touches her, that deposit goes into her as she is resting and receiving.  In this way, the flowers seem like a kind of current in a river flowing softly and steadily.  She is being carried along by grace incarnate as she is resting.  All that she needs is being deposited inside of her.

While I am watching this, I see a kind of window appear over my left shoulder.  I look through it and see the war being waged outside of this beautiful place.  People are fighting the battle of the kingdom and faithfully warring in the greater war.  I'm not exactly sure of what this battle is but I see it very plainly being fought.  There are arrows, bullets, cannons, and other types of spiritual weapons being used by both sides.  God's kingdom fighters are mainly using kingdom swords.

As I watch this one woman being carried along in this field of flowers, I notice a river current that I didn't know was there before.  As I experience this field in the spirit realm, I also see an overlay of the spirit realm on even this field in that what was obviously there was not seen by me until now.  I see a river and its banks within the flowers growing here.  There is movement and a directional current from south to north.  The woman is being carried head first and she is sleeping in peace.  It is a kind of deep peace that comes over one who has fought much and who has been faithful with much.

As she is moved along on top of this current, I see her begin to descend a bit into the current like she is about four inches below the surface.  She is sleeping deeply in the Lord and the Holy Spirit is breathing into her spirit.  I sense her soul in wonder but in rest.  She is not struggling to figure out what is happening.  She is yielding to it and allowing all that is here to refresh and renew her.  She is so free and open. Because of her openness and freedom, she is receiving so much more.

I now see others looking around and wanting to enter in more.  The atmosphere is calm and thick with grace and it is a felt experience for most of them.  All striving and weariness are washing off of them and they are soaking it all in.

I can see these people struggling to enter in due to their belief that they must be alert and vigilant in the fight.  Their understanding of faith has been to move forward in effort and strength that has not been His.  Much of what has been happening in this war has been a fleshly effort with good intentions wrapped in carnal terms of faith while many have been doing their best to push through to win.

I hear the atmosphere speaking to lay it down and receive true authority in the place of rest.  No striving can exist here.  No performance can function here.  Only true rest and peace function here because his goodness rules and reigns.  These people come in with sincere hearts and are caught off guard in the unmasking of their carnal spirituality.  Somehow they have lost their first love and have taken up a false devotion to their own love. I see awareness coming over their faces and I see lostness right behind it.  They are vulnerable as they wake up to truth and the Spirit is making ready
a rest for them that they have not known.  As they see things for what they really are, there is a fragile hope of the real thing and as they go to that place, hope blooms right in front of them and invites them into peace and rest inside of his goodness. I see them lying down and receiving what is here for them.  As they lie down, they too enter into the current of this unseen river that has revealed itself through their yielding.

I "feel" a deep peace.

As people yield to the presence of God in this place, they are taken into glory and life.  For some, it is their very first experience with the real thing and they are so eager to yield that they lay down and breathe deeply letting go of all that they thought was faith and true authority in the battle. They now see and know the true rest of God that Hebrews 4:9-11 speaks of and they are receiving his true authority inside of it.  It is a new experience for them.  They did not realize the effortlessness of yielding to Him.

As I sense his work of grace creating strength in these people, I watch through this suspended window, the battle being fought by sincere believers who have not yet known or experienced the true rest of God and the accompanying power of that rest.  They are faithfully fighting the good fight ignorant of their true authority in the resting place. As I watch this scene outside of the window and observe the reality of what the Lord is doing with these faithful warriors inside of this field, I am struck by the realization that all of the church is called into this field to be restored to who they really are and to understand where they are from. They have been on earth so long fighting the war that they have forgotten who they are and from where they fight.  Victory is in the seated place of Christ because He himself is our victory.

These people have not come into that truth and are fighting from a place of human effort dressed up as faith and power.  It is like the ape dressing the donkey in the lion's skin and calling it Aslan (In C.S. Lewis’ book The Last Battle).  Both know that it is false but their own greed and carnal desires have created a battle that is drawing many into weariness and business away from the true battle.  Those who have come into this place through the opening in the spirit, are receiving revelation of the truth and knowing the true nature of grace and authority, they are being refreshed to go back to fight from a new position.

I believe that God is teaching me today that true authority and true power are about to be restored to his people through revelation and understanding of who he is and where he is from and "who we are" seated in him.  Somehow we have been derailed from truth and we have been fighting from our own
strength and human wisdom when kingdom resources are available to us that we have not availed ourselves to.  This realization is coming to me that we are a generation living within an Ishmael paradigm.  God's Isaac is about to be born and we are people who are going to see the difference between the new promise and the flesh manufactured one.  Wow!  We have been living with an Ishmael model of God's promise instead of the true promise that has favor and grace upon it. I am realizing that the new child about to be born into the church is God's Isaac.  This upcoming season of restoration is about God's Isaac, Christ, all over again.  How did we go backward from all that Jesus accomplished on the cross to living in our flesh again?   Like the book of Judges, we have gone from repentance and being right with God back into disobedience. Restoration is usually born out of persecution.  I wonder if this new child called restoration is coming soon, what is it that will precede its coming?

The window of the war is gone now.  Those warriors resting here are being filled to all of the fullness of God in Christ.  When they are full, they will return to the war with true power and authority and become leaders of this war against darkness.  They will fight from a place of light and life through true revelation of goodness in Him.  They will overcome through the blood of the lamb and through the word of his testimony (Rev. 12:11).  These will take the war into a different place of authority and victory.  Their sword will take down the enemy and they will fight with true authority to reveal the false deeds of darkness done in the name of our God.

“Soon, I will open the slit in the spirit realm and release these back into the battle.  They will be the overcomers who will fight the true fight of faith from the seated place where true victory has already been accomplished.

This is what this means.  "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me.  Therefore go...."

What man can accomplish in his own strength will fall by the strength of another.  What man receives from on high will overcome even the greatest obstacles because Jesus has finished the work that he has given us to do.  It is our joy to enter into it and live from that position of victory in Him. True community can only be lived from the seated place in him.  Outside of him, only false structures exist and they will all fall.  When the true is revealed the false will be exposed.  This is when the persecution will break forth.  This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

Isaiah 30:14-16
Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 And he shall break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing so that there cannot be found among its pieces one large enough to carry coals of fire from the hearth or to dip water out of the cistern.
15 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,
16 And you said, No! We will speed [our own course] on horses! Therefore you will speed [in flight from your enemies]! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds [doing our own way]! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift, [so swift that]

Hebrews 4:9-11
Amplified Bible (AMP)

So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God;
10 For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors [a]peculiarly His own.
11 Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].

It's the end of the world as we know it

On December 21st 2012 (12.21.12 – the Winter solstice – the day with the lease amount of daylight), the Mayan calendar “ended”.  To many, this indicated the end of the world.  Some people took it seriously and horded food, sold possessions, and other goofy things.  For most of us though, we laughed it off as ridiculous.  But… what if… the “world” did end? – or at least the World as we knew it.

The enemy (the prince of this world) has limitations.  He is a created being and therefore, finite.  What if the church (the body of Christ) just transitioned into a time where the enemy’s resources are maxed out?

Now think about this… the Kingdom of our Lord is ever increasing and ever expanding.  The resources of the church (God’s heirs – that’s us) are limitless.  In fact, they are getting stronger and more diverse, more intense, better, faster, able to accomplish more than ever before.

As a group of us were praying and listening around the New Year (on 1/4/2013) this kept getting stronger in my spirit.  Then, while we were praying, a friend of mine had a vision; a piglet that was caught up in the air while holding on to a kite.  The wind carried him along in all kinds of crazy loops, dips, and rises.  But the piglet held on tight and enjoyed the ride – even as intense as it was.

I was fascinated with the image of the “piglet” – what did it mean.

As I sat and pondered with the Lord about the meaning of the piglet, my first thought was the character from the Winnie the Pooh stories.  Piglet – a happy little creature, very content.  …or the piglet from the Geico commercials – whizzing down a zip line holding a small windmill and yelling, “Whee whee whee.”   But then a memory flooded back to my mind.  It was an experience I had with my uncle Bob (he raised pigs at the time).  My family had driven to his farm for a reunion.  While we were there, Uncle Bob took me out to a shed and showed me a pen with a gazillion little piglets running around.  As I watched, he led the Sow into the pen and she flopped on her side.  The piglets went crazy!  FOOD!  But there were more piglets than feeding receptacles.  They climbed over each other and pushed their greedy little faces into the fray – shoving their siblings to the side just to get to the source.  Bob looked at me and chuckled, “That’s why they call ‘em ‘pigs’”.  We both laughed.

What stuck out to me in my mind was the hunger.  These little piglets were so hungry they could care less who was shoved aside or if there was a hoof in their eye.  All they cared about was the sustenance coming from their momma.  The hunger!

That’s why God used the image of a piglet – it represents youth, energy, joy and hunger.

The more I thought about it, the more I was excited to give my interpretation, but the worship music continued and there wasn’t an immediate opportunity to share.  So I sat with the Lord.  As I did, I started getting something completely different.  And it grew and developed…

The Lord pointed out two stories from the book of Acts:

Acts 5

Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?”

“Yes,” she said, “that is the price.”

Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”

10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

Acts 8

Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.

Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, 10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.” 11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. 12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. 23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”

24 Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”

My first thought was, “how can these two scripture passages be related to the piglet image.  They are night and day.”  But the more I sat with it the more I understood.  Ananias and Sapphira were “early” believers.  They were living in a time of transition where the Lord was establishing something completely unheard of – radically different.  This incident happened even before the church was scattered beyond Jerusalem.  They were believers, yes; and they were going along with what everyone else was doing – except the condition of their hearts had not changed.  The story of Simon happened just after Stephen was stoned and the church was dispersed (Phillip to Samaria – hometown of Simon).  Here too, we see the “early” church.  They’re just trying to figure it out.  Simon gets “saved” (or at least becomes a believer).   Then, when he offers to buy the gift of God, he is told by the visiting church fathers to die along with his money – because of the condition of his heart.

Here is a picture of the “early” church.  There is great joy!  Can you imagine being set free from the requirements of the law!  Can you imagine yourself or your friends being delivered or healed?  There is Excitement and Energy – even amidst persecution.  Entire towns are becoming believers; thousands are being added – daily.   …and at the same time, the Lord establishes an awesome fear about who he is and what they have.

When I conduct a wedding it is a joyful celebration – probably one of the happiest moments in a person’s life, but there is a part of the ceremony where I state, “Marriage is not something to be entered into lightly, but reverently…”  There is great joy – but at the same time it’s a great responsibility.

Church – do you have ears to hear?

Just like the “early” church, we are poised on something unprecedented.  It’s the end of the world as we know it.  The “world” and its influence and power is dead to the church.  The church is coming out of the world and the world is coming out of the church.  It has lost its power and influence.  We (the Body - collectively) are being born again…  Just like the church in Acts, we are being born into something radically new (not simply a different season).  We’ve all lived through different seasons in the church as God adds to and modifies how we function and live.  This is different.  I believe we are now entering a new “AGE” where everything is changing.   When we look at ourselves in the mirror we won’t recognize what we’ve always seen before.  We are no longer adolescents… the church is growing up – maturing.  This is a time of great joy – but something NOT to be entered into lightly, but reverently and with hearts that are pure and rightly joined to the head (our Father).

Sons of God - Abiding ministers of HOPE

Jesus lived and demonstrated a life of ongoing worship which was pure love, moving in faith in response to the Father’s voice and direction. This kept Him continually open to receive and release all that the Holy Spirit conveyed to Him. He also attracted hosts of mighty angels to help him carry out the release of heaven on earth.  Abiding worship enabled him to joyfully fulfill the outrageous ministry he was made for and made a way for us to follow in His footsteps.

Because He lived from heaven to earth, he did all ministry from a place of rest. This enabled Him to abide in the Father - high above the pressing needs and chaos that surrounded him. It also inoculated Him against the perversion of the political spirit, the legalistic spirit and the fear of man.  All these things could have distracted Him from His course of obedience.  Likewise we are subject to the same temptations if we have not learned the strategic secret of abiding adoration.

Jesus is called The Hope of Glory. His knowledge of himself (His true identity which came from His relationship with the Father through the person of the Holy Spirit) gave Him power to do everything He was called to do without turning back even when the enemy came against him in the wilderness and the weight of His mission threatened to crush him in Gethsemane.  He was strengthened by angels to complete the Father’s plan. He was the embodiment of the Father and every word He spoke released abundant seeds of hope that settled, rooted and grew in the hearts of men so they too could release the manifestation of heaven on earth.  Every step he took released a flow of hope that soaked the parched earth and gave creation itself the hope of restoration and redemption.

This is who we are as sons and daughters of the Most High God. Following the lead of our King, we learn to abide in the secret place of the most High God in adoring, abandoned worship. In this place, our true home, we learn to function in Him and from Him -  and all He did, we do also as living manifestations of HOPE.

Romans 8:19-21  Amplified Bible

For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part but the will of Him Who so subjected it - [yet] with the hope that nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance} into the glorious freedom of God's children.

I release the glorious freedom of Christ to you and unlock the limitless possibilities and manifestations of His life and glory in you with this heavenly key of HOPE!

Hope, Revelation, and Faith

Diabetes affects the physical body by causing cells to become insulin resistant making it impossible to receive and assimilate the sugars it needs to function. Without proper treatment, this condition will eventually cause death.

Hope is to the soul and spirit what Insulin is to the body. Insulin enables the cells of the body to turn sugars into energy and life.  Hope enables the soul and spirit to receive revelation. The supernatural man is energized and empowered by revelation just as the body is by life giving sugars. Revelation activates faith and creates spiritual momentum like sugars fuel physical movement.

Where you place your hope is where your faith will manifest.

Any part of my life where there is no hope (hope deferred) is a place where I am entertaining a lie. This applies at both a personal and corporate level for all believers.  In this condition, I can be surrounded by brilliant teaching and transforming ministry and be unable to absorb or benefit from it. Where a lie has been entertained, discouragement moves in.  (Proverbs 13:12 - Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life).

I saw an image of a spirit of discouragement gobbling up seeds of hope sown into the life of a person who had been raised with a legacy of hopelessness. This person felt like God was with holding His goodness - completely unaware of the rich provision of hope available to them.

Without HOPE you cannot attract or receive REVELATION from heaven.

Without REVELATION you cannot walk in FAITH. (Revelation is the spark that ignites faith!)

Without a vision/revelatory word from God you will wander without restraint and fail to enter into the fullness of the promises of God. Proverbs 29:18 - Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish...)

With faith I please God, attract heavenly resources and become a vessel to release His transformational Glory.  Faith works through love and in it’s truest form is pure worship.  All of heaven is attracted to this atmosphere in the heart of the believer.  All creation responds in joy as we walk in the light of our inheritance as sons of God.

To receive and release revelation, I must have a renewed mind because it is impossible to walk in the fullness of the kingdom of God from my previous way of thinking.  A renewed mind is not taking my old, inferior way of thought and sprucing it up with a fresh coat of positive thinking.  It is the equivalent of having a brain transplant (Graham Cooke) where everything I thought before Christ is uprooted and displaced by the person of the Holy Spirit who then becomes a living umbilical connecting me to the mind and heart of God.  Faith, Hope, and Love are the primary components of the mind of Christ and sum up the thoughts and purposes of his heart.  Through my interaction with Holy Spirit, I receive continuous instruction and transformational downloads.  These awesome gifts become my perspective and as I walk in this new light, I attract heavenly help and resources (inheritance) enabling me to do the works of a son of God (King).
